In this two hour clay workshop with Nicola, you will make your own handbuilt tumbler (or two), decorated with various textures of your choosing, while exploring the relation between these everyday objects and our sense of touch. The class includes learning about mark-making, the influence of textured ceramics, designing your pattern in clay, and executing your design onto a usable vessel. Your final piece will be fired with a simple white glaze inside and over the rim with the opportunity to create more than two pieces at a small expense.
