A common sight on a warm Australian summer’s day is a beach lined with towels and skin-flaunting people soaking up the sunshine and breathing in the salty sea air.

My hometown has an array of pristine beaches at a minimum of 20 minutes from the city centre. My closest beach is half an hour drive from my home and it’s one of my little joys of living in Adelaide.

This design transports me to hot public holidays where thousands of people flock to the shore to cool off in the water and enjoy a day off in the sunshine.
